Special Church Meeting

There will be a Special Church Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, check-in will begin at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will take place in the Activity Center. The purpose of this meeting is to receive the recommendations of the Pastoral Search Committee, and to vote to call the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Hampton. A quorum of two hundred (200) active members must be present at the time of the vote. A vote of two-thirds of the active members present at the meeting shall be necessary to extend the call. The vote shall be by written ballot. Pursuant to Article IV - Membership, Section C.1.a. of the FBCH Constitution adopted on April 23, 2017, active membership is: "Active Membership - members who are financially current. Financially current is defined as making a financial contribution to the Church, verified through the envelope or electronic system in the current fiscal year. Such active memberships shall extend to the last Sunday in January of the next year for the purpose of voting at the January Church meeting. Members who are not financially current must give during the current fiscal year to be considered active. The fiscal year is defined as January 1 through December 31." All active members are strongly encouraged to attend this important meeting.
