CHURCH-WIDE PRAYER

There will be Church-Wide Prayer from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Rooms 303/304/305 on Wednesdays. This time of prayer is in addition to the current prayer times that are taking place. Church-Wide Prayer will continue each Wednesday until further notice. 

 

BOWLING FELLOWSHIP

The Recreation Ministry will host Friday Night at the Alley, on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Century Lanes Bowling Alley, 1519 E. Pembroke Avenue in Hampton. The cost is $10.00 per person. 65TH ANNUAL LOTT CAREY YOUTH SEMINAR

SPREAD THE WORD!  It’s that time again!  The 65th Annual Lott Carey Youth Seminar will take place June 22-27, 2019 and will be held at Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Copies of the Registration Packet are available in the mail slot just outside of the Administrative Office. The required documents for participation include:

 

  • 65th Annual Youth Seminar Registration Form
  • The Health History Form (Must be completed by a physician)
  • Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment Form (This form must be notarized).  You may have the forms notarized in our Administrative Office Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Please note: The Administrative Office closes for lunch from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • FBCH Parental/Guardian of a Minor Consent and Liability Waiver Release Form
  • FBCH Parent Permission Form For Field Trips, Activities and Transportation Form
  • Items Attendees Will Need List (Please review and keep this form)
  • Youth Seminar Code of Conduct (Please review and keep this form)
  • The Youth Seminar Schedule (Please review and keep this form)

 

REMINDER

Youth Seminar participants must be at least 14 years of age by

  Tuesday, December 31, 2019 to participate.

NO EXCEPTIONS!

GRADUATE RECOGNITION SUNDAY

Our 2019 high school and college graduates will be honored during the Morning Worship Service on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 10:15 a.m.

 

JUNIOR COMMONWEALTH’S ATTORNEY SUMMER PROGRAM

The Junior Commonwealth’s Attorney Summer Program will be held from Monday, August 5th through Friday, August 9th. This program is a crime prevention and educational program designed to provide rising 8th and 9th grade Hampton City School students with an overview of the criminal justice system by allowing them to observe its actual operation. This free program will provide students with the opportunity to engage and interact with criminal justice professionals – including law enforcement officers and attorneys. Students will participate in an exciting and engaging curriculum that includes courtroom observations and field trips to the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Hampton Police Department, Office of the Attorney General, Virginia State Capitol, Hampton Courts, Hampton 911 Center,. Hampton City Jail and other local agencies. Lunch will be provided for participants. Registration is required. However, space is limited. The application deadline is Friday, June 7, 2019.
