Chesapeake Club Ministry 2026 Scholarship Program

The Chesapeake Club Ministry is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Scholarship Program. Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited college, university, or technical school in Fall 2026. Scholarships can be used for books, supplies, software, or tools, which are required for a student’s academic program. 

Applicants must be graduating seniors who attend and have been consistently active over the last year at First Baptist Church Hampton; OR students attending a public or private high school in the City of Hampton. Students may apply for more than one scholarship; however, only one award may be received.

Scholarships Available:

• Pearl Braxton Scholarship – $1,000
  A need-based award for students who demonstrate financial need along with leadership and community involvement.
• Dorothy, Linwood & Linda Rodgers Scholarship – $1,000
  A merit-based award recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and community impact.
• Eleanor Wynne Memorial Scholarship – $2,500

A scholarship that honors consistent academic excellence and an interest in STEM is a plus.

Applications are evaluated using a standardized scoring process to ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency.
