A Mother’s Day Shoebox Blessing Event for Unhoused Women

Hosted by the Women’s Ministry
Let’s come together to honor and uplift unhoused women this Mother’s Day through love, care, and compassion.

🌸 Purpose:

To serve as a reminder of God’s unconditional love and to ensure that unhoused women feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

📦 How to Participate:

1. Fill and wrap a shoebox (You can find them at Dollar Tree or use your own. Shoeboxes preferred for uniformity.)

2. Include a heartfelt note or inspirational card inside.

3. Choose thoughtful items from the categories below:

🎁 Blessing Box Ideas:

Something Pretty – Hair accessories, nail polish, makeup, cosmetic bag

Something Fun – Journal and pen, card game

Something Sweet – Gum, candy

Something Cozy – Scarf, fuzzy socks, ankle socks

Something Special – Gift card, earrings, bracelet, devotional or inspirational book

Something Soothing – Lotion, sleep mask

Something Practical – Mini first aid kit, mini flashlight, sunscreen, bus tickets

Something Personal – Travel-size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.)

📅 Important Dates:

– Drop-Off Deadline: Sunday, May 4, 2025

– Distribution Date: Boxes will be delivered to local women’s shelters by Mother’s Day – May 11, 2025
